pass/receive xml to/from flash movies

i'm trying to pass and receive xml data to and from a flash movie. how do i program my asp.net pages to pass and receive the xml strings? i suppose this is through the HttpResponse and HttpRequest objects. can anyone please give some concret examples or articles to read?
